Had to replace battery at 1 year.
Had to have transmission repaired after owning less than a year.
Passenger side reclining handle broke off recently.
Transmission repaired less than 2 months ago.
Driver's side door pops when being opened.
Vehicle makes popping sound on left side during left turns.
Recently discovered my heater does not have hot air.
Bought this SUV after a head-on collision in a car. Felt I needed the added protection. I was not prepared for all the problems the Blazer would have, though, as my Honda did not see a service center in the 6 years I owned it.
I just got the transmission repaired and it is still not running correctly. The service center cannot take it for a week, however.
It shakes and shimmies all over the place, creaking more than an arthritic knee.
One of the buttons to the overhead compartment has fallen off as well as the cover to the ashtray.
If I could afford to dump this thing and get another vehicle I would do it
now, but I'll be stuck with it for awhile longer.
It is unbelievable. I also own a 1999 Chevy Blazer and all, but the button on the top of my car has happened to me also. the passenger side handle broke off. The drivers side door pops. I replaced the transmission. Currently I have a problem with the 4 wheel drive. The car is actually in the shop as we speak. I believe these trucks are not made to last more than 2 to 3 years tops. For the cost of these trucks something should be done.
