"A great car that burns a bit too much oil"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Well... unfortunately the car is currently sitting in my drive way while I buy another car. for some reason the car is having fuel problems. I've just gone out and bought a new filter, O2 sensor, ect. sensor cause the check engine light was on before it died.

It burns off more oil than I thought it would. (i have owned a v6 3.8 liter thunderbird, a v6 3.0 liter taurus, a v4 2.2 liter chrystler lebaron, and a v4 1.8 liter pontiac sunfire that haven't compared to this car's oil consumption.) although it does have its perks.

General comments?

The car on the other hand popped a tired and barreled over the curb at about 60 miles an hour. I hit a drain pipe and it still ran coming outta the ditch I was in. it's a tough car for accidents despite its size.

It handles beautifully around corners too (I drive a lot faster than I'm supposed to). Despite the oil costs its pretty efficient on gas. Suprisingly it takes a bit to fill the gas tank, but it will last a good week and a half before the next refil.

The car itself hasn't been a burden until now. the sensor are in disarray though since that damn check engine light is on. but that is an easy affordable fix. on the other hand I'm buying an eagle talon just in case this proves to be a useless fix. hopefully the eagle is as safe and cost efficient as the eclipse.

I also got into an accident with mine hitting a 1986 Mercedes, we all know what a tub of iron those things are. I hit the car head on (she slid through a yield sign and I couldn't stop, icy day) and it only caused body damage. As soon as I got my head back together I was able to start the car up first try and it still ran like a charm! Tragically the damage to the body was going to cost me 4100 and the car was only worth 2500-3000 : (. I have missed it since!
