At 257,211 transmission bearings decided to wear out. That cost me 750.00.
Drive shaft u joints were replaced.
Fuel pump/and control replaced once.
Upper ball joints replaced.
Fly wheel replaced twice.
Starter motor replaced aprox. 5 times.
Brake and clutch master cylinder replaced.
A loud clanking sound developed last week, just after the transmission is put into gear, along with some bad vibrations
when I reach about 55 mph?.
I think your clunk and vibration are from your pinion bearings. and if let go too long you will need replace the pinion itself and your ring gear.
Yea I get some really bad vibration at around 55 or 60 in my 84 4x4.
