My cv boots fell apart shortly after purchase.
Seats are torn up.
The head gasket recently blew out.
This truck leaks an outrageous amount of oil.
This is by far the worst vehicle I have ever purchased. It seems to be a chain reaction of things going wrong.
I will never buy another Toyota as long as I walk this earth.
Hi, UK here!
What truck is it? I've just bought a 98 Hilux crew cab, the best thing I've bought ever! I've never heard a bad thing said about any Toyota truck, I think you've just been really unlucky. I had a Land Rover and that thing just fell apart, so do buy another Toyota, but don't buy British!
Tom.
Inspect your vehicles before you buy.

On the Side of Your Truck?
Another Toyota owner afraid to accept that they wear out.
The cv boot fell apart? A 16 year old piece of rubber that rides underneath a truck? What a surprise. Change them. How many miles are on this truck? What kind of maintenance was ever done to it? You are driving one of the best trucks ever produced, and it takes long years of abuse before they begin to come apart. Buy a new truck next time. How much did you pay for this one? Yeah, Toyota's eventually wear out too; just not nearly as soon as any other make. Fix the head gasket, replace the boots, change all your fluids, grease the fittings, and drive happy.
Accept the fact that Toyotas wear out if you use them. Gets tiresome. They are not any better when they get age on them as I have worked on them.
I have a 1991 SR5 V-6 best truck I have ever owned, you just
can"t get them stuck even in the brutal snow storms we get here. I have 230,000 km. have not had any trouble yet, except
for a rear seal leaking. I had body completely done looks like show room condition.. The only other problem was emergency brake keeps breaking All around great truck..
