"A great suv"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

AT 125,000 miles I had to have the transmission replaced after pulling a tree stump. I have had to replace the evr valve and egr valve at 130,000. No complaints really for the mileage and abuse it takes. Eats brakes however.

General comments?

Truck could use a little more power, however enough for what I need. Does pretty good on gas also.

I also have a 95 Explorer that I acquired from my son. I am now experiencing what seems to be rear drive shaft vibration... other than that, I love the truck

Also, about your brake pad problem and make sure the pads run free from binding, if they are (even a little) ;

Pop off the shiny rectangular caps on the brake pad rails, then scrape the rust out that builds up under them, and put some high-temp grease under the caps just to disburse future moisture, this should free up the pads enough so your brakes will last longer.
