Umm, I tried to clean the engine with a power washer and water got all clogged up in the spark plugs etc causing a major dose of misfiring.

Isn't all that power scary at the rear wheels in a chassis that's not up to the job.
Last comment must be from and m3 driver the chassis handles the power fine you just need to learn about the characteristics before you go out and throw it around... drive one before putting in useless comments.
Funny to hear about your engine wash dousing your spark plugs because that's the exact thing that happened to me too in my gt. I used some engine degreaser (not that I needed it) to spic up my engine. Some water got down one spark plug tube and my car ran on three cylinders for a bit before I finally found the problem (a certain amount of desperate praying involved as I was away from home). Even on three, it had more go than my 85 Ford Telestar 2.0litre, 4 cylinder.
