I've got a GT 16v which has caused me very few problems in the 20k miles I've done with it over the last year, new breaks for the MOT a couple of tyres and a blockage in the radiator are the only things that have cost me anything. I've got a s/s exhaust on mine and a k+n pannel filter along with a small modification to the ECU it now produces around 155 bhp and will get to 60 in under 9 seconds, but if you take it a little slower on my average jurney I get nearly 40MPG. A lot of car for the money. A more practical version of the Golf GTi and not much slower.
I have a 1991 VW Passat GT Wolfsburg Edition.
This is the most amazing car I have ever had, almost 150000km and still going strong!
I live in Switzerland and, unfortunately, I must part with my beautiful car for reasons of moving countries.
