"Not a true sports car"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Overall not too many things, just the usual:

Shocks.

Brakes.

Fuel pump.

Extreme rust under car.

Left door does not open anymore.

A/C stopped working last year.

Manifolds are all cracked.

Exhaust is leaking.

Brakes are leaking.

P/S leaking.

General comments?

This was a decently built car and I enjoyed it very much. After reading the many reviews here I cannot believe

the kids here think this is a fast car!

Sure it looks fast, but its only looks.

Heck my dads 1991 Buick Lesabre is much faster and is a family car with 4 doors.

However it has 170hp and 220 lb ft of torque, while the 240 has only 140 horsepower, so I wouldn`t be calling this a sports car, it's a sporty car that's all so don`t be going out looking for races, you may, but you will lose most of them, unless you race against 4 cyl. sunflowers and cavaliers, that's about all you`d be able to beat.

OK, the first thing I say will be that this guy doesn't seem to be understanding the perspective and position that the 240 enthusiast is coming from. We are usually young guns looking for a little adolescent thrill going to make some memorable times both in the driver's seat and in the back seat. So without pointing fingers "dude," don't be so hard to judge an out of your generation vehicle and stick to your V8 muscle, while the American youth ponder with the pocket rockets.

Peace.

I personally think that a Nissan 240sx is one of the best cars you could find. They are in almost everyones price range and they do not cost a lot to fix. They are good for racing and drifting (if you are into that sort of stuff) and just overall they are good cars.

OK..first of all... the nissan 240sx isn't a slow car.. and it's a true sports car.. but just not in the us... check up a 1989 nissan silvia... its the same thing as a 240sx..but with a diffrent front end and engine... and the engine it comes with is a turbo charged 4cyl..but you could also put a twin turbo charged inline 6...with over 280 hp... so now you tell me... if your parents buick lesabre can keep up.
