Luggage in the boot slid whilst going round a corner and activated the fuel cut off switch in the boot - Most annoying and embarrassing garage bill!
Rust creeping through on both rear arches and passenger door.
Blowing exhaust.
Fantastic value for money. Leather seats, cruise control, air conditioning, front and back electric windows, heated seats, CD player, electric seats, power steering, electric sunroof, on-board conputer, central locking, alarm, immobiliser + loads more gadgets all for £350? Impossible to get more can for the money!!!
The performance was initially a worry due to having a small engine in a large car, but it copes very well as its run very rich- needs to be worked hard to get the power, but that's not the point. I highly recommend you take the cat out - it'll give you up to 15bhp extra which gives you the same power as the 2.9 version.
Its SO comfortable! without paying excess insurance and repair costs due to the high availablility and cheap parts.
Fuel economy is awful unless your very careful. I've averaged 40mpg on a 100 mile run before now, but being extremely light footed. Average driving returns 25mpg and enthusiatic driving can bring back single figure economy!
But no amount of fuel econamy issues can amount for the thousands you saved in buying this luxury executive over its German counterpart.
A fantastic review. This person hits the nail on the head with this car!
