2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LTZ from North America - Comments

"An expensive headache (sometimes)"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The air conditioning keeps going out. It has been in the shop 4 times now, and apparently it is still not fixed. The A/C will go out for a few hours, and then will come back on. This is the only trouble I have had, but now I am going to have to buy an extended warranty. I am very frustrated with this problem and I am curious if GM is looking into it, because there are other people with the same problem.

General comments?

This vehicle is very comfortable and gets good gas mileage for an SUV. I'm not sure if I would recommend this vehicle to anyone because of the air conditioning problems.

Good luck finding a current model vehicle out there without a quirk or two. The trailblazer has a couple common quirks

1. A/C is finicky (we haven't had this problem)

2. Exterior lights like to burn out (we only replaced 2 in over 1.5 years.)

Now I think that is awesome for a brand new design, look how long Chrysler has been trying to fix their 4 speed automatics! It has been over 10 years and Chrysler 4 speed autos still suck.

This has been our favorite chevy so far (we have had a couple tahoes, a blazer and all those were excellent as well.)

we have had almost no trouble with Chevy vehicles in over 10 years, one tahoe had a bad high tension wire to the ignition=no start. The rest have been just fine. Ford has been another story, after crashing 2 out of 3 aerostars (the 3rd one was leased, it just went back with no repairs.) after the aerostars, we got a 1995 windstar, what a piece! It went back before the lease was up (too much of a lemon.) then we got an expedition, then an explorer, an escort, taurus, just now a ranger. All were leased and all were fine, with exception to the windstar.

Of course each had its own little design quirks, but with the compexity of today's cars, that is to be expected, I do not like to complain about the odd problem with the amazing vehicles today.
