I really can't put much here as of yet... this was a bank repossed vehicle and it started just fine after I put some gas in the darned thing (they brought it to me on E!!) But it sat for a couple of days and there was very little gas in it and now it won't start AT ALL. It has a spark and hubby is going to change the fuel filter today, so we'll see how that goes. MY PROBLEM IS THIS: I can't find a book/repair manual on this anywhere in my friggen town. I can't buy one offline because I have no credit card so I'm looking on ebay. Does anyone know where we can get a copy online of any diagrams on the 94 Trooper? Any help would be helpful.
Thank you.
You can find one on a rodeo of same year, motors and four wheel drive the same.
If you go to the local bookstore, they should be able to order a Hayne's Manual for you. Also, just to make sure, put in 5 or 10 gallons of gas, and spray a little into the carburetor (do these have one in '94?). If it was out of gas and wouldn't start, but it started when you put some in, and now it has very little and won't start... well, you get my drift. If you had just put in like 2 gallons, that may not be enough for the intake screen to draw it up into the fuel line so you may be sucking air, not to mention that if you run a car totally out of gas, it takes some cranking before the fuel pump can push out the air in the line and start pushing gas through there.
Interesting point about Haynes manuals - I would love to be corrected, but here in the UK it seems there is no such thing. I have tried Haynes Online who showed nothing and my local Auto store who, after poring over their Brochure Manual suggested I try Haynes Online, hmmm...
However, There is a manual published by Chilton's, which, having been on the US pages of the Brochure manual, suggests that you'd be OK in the States.
The write up for this Chilton's manual mentioned only Gasoline engines, so us diesel-heads over in the UK may have to look elsewhere.
Apart from this, I am going to try some General Motors sites and see if there isn't maybe a PDF file of the original Owners Manual.
We shall see.
