I have a Fiesta Zetec 1.4 which I aquired in March of this year. I have had countless issues with rattles window regulator problems and am on my third waterpump. Dagenham motors in Colindale North London are a cowboy outfit. The car went in for some work and came out with solvent on the headlight which melted the plastic and scratch/dent on the bottom of the drivers door which was touched up to cover up there negligence and a impact on the back bumper. Area manager came out and said as "a good will guesture, we will paint the door and replace the headlight, but not the bumper." going to cost me £300. The car has been back to Dagenham motors on countless occasions and tell all you new car buyers, to avoid this dealership like the plague.
Overall the car now seems to be over its teething problems, but this is a list of problems gone wrong with it.
1) 2 new window regulators
2) 2 new water pumps
3) Front windscreen had to be reset as a whistle was evident on the motorway, very annoying
4) Front passenger side wheel arch cover tightened on 2 occasions as it came loose and rattled.
5) New front headlight, dealership put solvent which they denied
6) Re-spray on the drivers door after I noticed it was damaged when returned from Dagenham Motors
7) Rear window spray leaks.
Feels pokey around town.
Rear tail gate release button a nice touch.
Won't beat the handling of a Fiesta than any other supermini.
You bought a Ford...What did you expect??
Okay Steven or is it Steve the Nova driver?, I brought a Ford, out of choice I would like a supercar, but hey I'm 23 and insurance is a issue.
I had a Ford Escort previously with no problems and trusted after reading and watching car shows which praised the 4 star crash test and the excellant chassis to experience a pleasurable drive with my Brand New car.
Comments like "You brought a Ford what did you expect" is a very shallow comment we are in 2003 mate.
Enjoy your go faster stripes on your Nova.

I Suggest you my poor friend, beware of any Pug 106.
Have you ever drive one of them? :-)
Its handling is far beyond than Fiesta.

No, I did not fit - only girls and tiny men fit into them.
So I bought a fiesta instead - much more spacious interior.
Just sold our 2001 Zetec-S after two very pleasant years of ownership - just one minor fault which was rectified first time by the dealer under warranty. To the commenter who said the 106 is better, I went from a 106 XSi to the Zetec-S, and can tell you emphatically that it isn't. Outright handling performance was very similar, but the Fiesta rode better and had far more direct steering.
