Regular maintenance such as brakes, hoses.
I did however have problems with the belts. I believe that over time the belts stretched and came off the pulley. I check them on a regular basis now, but that was 2 years ago and it hasn't happened since.
I had a problem with over heating after driving 100 km or so, but when I pulled to the side of the road and let the motor cool down then I could drive again. It seemed that anything over 80 km per hour would make it over heat. I have since changed the flex hose and replaced the thermostat. I have not driven any great distance yet so I'm not sure if I have corrected the problem.
My Plymouth Colt is very different. It is not really a van although it looks like one. We have nick named it Wannabe. I have never seen another like it. I would like to know if anyone out there has one.
I think it is a great car. It is good on gas and very reliable.
It is not a car or a station wagon. It is a very small van and therefore it carries lots of odd things that one could not place in a car.
I will keep it for as long as I can because it is well worth the money for up keep.
I believe we have the same car. I sometimes consider mine a small minivan, especially with the sliding side door and all. I've only seen one other like it since I bought mine. I bought it as a winter car so that I didn't have to drive my Porsche through the snow and salt. So far it's been great on gas and not a lot has gone wrong with it. Two things I noticed are, a knocking sound in the front end when I go over bumps, and it smells like gasoline after I drive it. Neither of which I can figure out, but it keeps on ticking. At this point, if it died, I'd just switch back to the Porsche. (not a big sacrifice)
