"Keep Looking"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

What things haven't gone wrong.

I am sorry to say that this is by far the most cheaply made car I have ever seen.

The plastic seatbelt holders broke off, when I slightly touched them.

The latch to the glove box snapped and broke, the passenger door no longer opens from the outside, and the right blinker is frozen (I have had mechanics look at it and they don't know whats wrong).

The arm rest no longer latches, and the plastic around the seatbelt latch basically cracked and fell apart.

Onto the larger and more expensive problems the heater core, I do not know how many times its been changed out, but I do know it was changed only a year ago and it broke again 6 months ago.

I recently replaced the windshield because of a chip that turned into a 35 inch crack directly in the line of sight.

There is something wrong with the transmission, although I am unable to pin point it.

When I back out to the right there is a noise (sounds like the tire may be rubbing against something inside the wheel well).

There is a loud knocking sound anytime day, night, cold or hot.

General comments?

This car has a lot of get up, but for me the negative over powers the positive.

I keep the car very well maintained, so I am a little confused at the pile of problems that I can only imagine are just beginning to pile up.

The things I enjoy about it include the lower back lumbar supports, the gray blue cloth interior, the layout of the dash, and I love the roominess of the car.

I believe that these problems come with age, but they are costly. I am looking to repair and sell my car in hopes I find something more reliable that does not have these problems.

I own a 1995 buick regal 3.1 and it leaks oil from the engine and it leaks transmissiom fluid.and it has 76000 miles on it.i had the o ring on the oil pump replaced and it still leaks oil about 2 quarts every 2 weeks.these are not good engines. in my opinion.

I bought my car at 135000 miles off a used car dealership and it first needed new brakes and now a wire broke off the turn signal switch and its gonna cost 100 bucks to fix.. other than that the cars been great and now has 155000 miles on it.

I am the writer of this review!

My uncle is a mechanic and he basically said that GM's 3.1 liter V6 engines are crap. The most common problem he sees in his shop is the head gaskets slip just enough to cause major problems and if it is not caught soon enough it may cause major damage!

I actually sold this car about a year ago for $2500. And I want it back. I have owned a 2004 Ford Focus SE and a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT since then, and by far the Buick ran the best. I miss my car!!! The lady that bought it loves it and says its the perfect car, and she has put over 50,000 miles on it and has had absolutely no problems with it. Go figure!

I think that this is a great car. I agree with the 3.1 being not so great the 3.8 is 150x better. but I love this car mine only has 20,000 and I've had no problems.

Simply put the 3.8 litre is one of the best motors made. My '95 Regal GS has 37,500 miles on it and it runs like a dream, I have never had a problem with it.

My 1995 buick has 215,000 miles on it. It has the 3.8 engine. I drive mostly highway, change the oil every 4500 miles. Only uses 1/2 qt. oil between oil chages. No major problems. Replaced alternator, battery, water pump, intake manifold, tie rods. Never left me stranded.

Our 95 Regal has about 45K on it. Other than brakes and tires, there has been no maintenance. The car has amazing power from the 3.8 motor. You do have to watch your throttle. The cup holders are wacky and the center console change holder is idiotic, but that’s small potatoes for a car with independent suspension, rack and pinion steering, overdrive, front wheel drive for New England weather and a comfortable interior, if somewhat plasticky. The only problems we’ve had have been with a park interlock switch somewhere that won’t release the automatic door locks when you turn off the ignition and tail lights that fill up with water (drill a couple of little holes in them).

I own a similar Regal that has about 375,000 miles on it yet it runs as if it was brand new. It has the 3.1 engine, and it has never been worked on, besides at about 300,000 miles I put on new valve cover gaskets (took 1 evening to replace). The car began losing its clearcoat and I eventually got the car repainted about 4 months ago. The car was practically rust free before I got it painted. The underside is still virtually rust free probably due to the fact that I clean it and spray oil on it about 2 or 3 times a year. I always change my oil between 3 to 4 thousand miles, and I use Valvoline or Castrol 5W-30. I plan on keeping this car forever. I truly believe that this is one of the best cars out there.
