The alternator squeals from start up, on.
In cold weather, it has trouble starting up, and sometimes will stall.
When you hit 70-75 mph on, the car vibrates uncontrollably. Sometimes in idle at traffic lights, the car will vibrate somewhat also.
Fuse box acted up for a few months, but then fixed itself.
Sometimes you might want to watch that it does not overheat. I had a problem with it a couple of times, but since 1999, it has been good to me.
Yes, it is a slower car with no pick up, and it vibrates, and it might not have a lot of leg room in the back...
But this car is amazing in so many ways:
First off, it is unbelievably safe. It has two cars on separate occasions where the opposing car was going 30 or so mph, and the Corsica only acquire minor dents, and I acquired none.
Second off, it is pretty comfortable, and when it vibrates, you get used to it, and it makes the car even more comfortable.
Third off, it gets pretty good gas mileage.
Fourth (off), unlike many other cars designed in the late 80s and early 90s, this Corsica pulls off a pretty good design which still looks nice, even in the year 2003. It is highly adaptable to any way you want the car to feel or look.
Finally, this car is just golden. It has gotten me through 18 inches of snow and 4 girlfriends. It can drive most anywhere and has, and it will treat you right, even when you do not.
Money car...
Maybe your car shakes uncontrollably above 70 mph because your alignment might be off. I had that problem, and after having the alignment fixed I haven't had any problems since.
I had the same prob in my 90 corsica only it was an OLD BAD REAR TIRE. got new tires. problem fixed.
