Wear and tear basically when first brought.
Change of timing belt and all the fan belt.
Overheating problem. Change of radiator, water pump and all the cooling system.
Noisy engine and wobbling.
Gearbox noisy while traveling.
Great and strong car.
Reliable traveling companion bringing me and my girlfriend to Malaysia up in the mountain almost 7000 feet above sea level at 30 time within a year with a distance from Singapore to Malaysia about 480 KM one way.
I was thinking to buy the 1988-1990 BMW 5.20i E34 Model with Auto gear, but was told not by many mechanic not to buy as it is a problem car especially the auto gear box. Anyone can tell me if it is a good car to buy as I not really sure. In Singapore the car mechanic here only prefer the Japanese car maker or if not
the Benz which they consider a better car builder, but I am not convinced as my E30 3.16 is running super.
Anyone can comment on that.
