"Every time I drive it, I feel priviliged"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

An embarassing alternator problem. When you break down in one of these... be prepared to cop the flak from passing motorists.

General comments?

Yep.. a brilliant car that makes you feel good. Like driving around in the best leather arm chair in the world.

I haven't had the privilege of driving a Bentley, so I'm wondering how they compare to something I am familiar with, namely an XJ6. The jaguar has always bewildered me with it's seemingly impossible combination of handling and comfort.

Is a Bentley of this era a reliable XJ6? If so maybe it's my next car...

And no I haven't driven a Mercedes that I can remember, and am getting over my encounters with BMW's..: (Ick...

My first car was a cobra, the next was a merc, i remember my friend saying to me this is one of the best cars you will ever drive...

He was wrong, my next car was a bentley eight, this is the best car I have ever driven, I REFUSE

to drive anything else, the only down side with this car? if something is worn, or broken, be prepared to spend money...

Bentley is better than sex.

I bought a used Bentley Eight about 2 years ago, and after fixing a few items, it's an absolute pleasure to drive. Also, uses regular gas!

I would love to have a Bentley. I like the lines of the cars, the woodwork and leather. I can afford the car, but there is no place close to properly service them. Oh well, I may just have to set up an account with an auto transporter. LOL
