One driveshaft at 118000 km. (that's pretty normal - I have been told)
Needs the ligths in my instruments - can't find the reason why???
Very poor gearshift - Not easy to get into second gear.
Well the car is very economical... I own a small caravan (!) in DK called SAFARI 280 and i'm able to drive 13km/l with the caravan - and 18 km/l without.
Very charming car to drive - but the finish is very poor - U never can forget that it's build at the same place as the 2CV use to be build.
And the safety? Forget it!!!
No ABS - No Airbags - No ventilated discs.
No ventilated discs...? I'd be glad it has discs in the first place for a car in that class! And, safety is not a matter of how many airbags a car has. It's principally down to the driver's ability to anticipate, and to behave.
A pretty fair review, but you really need to have a go in an AX GT or a GTI to really appreciate how good the little ax design was.
I agree with the last comment regarding the GT model. I have owned 2 GTs and have had hardly any problems and am very tempted to get a third, but try out a GTi as I like them so much.
