"I not sure"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

What things have gone wrong with the car?

This car has been relatively trouble-free. I replaced the oil pan ($300 including labor) as a preventative measure, because it was rather rusty.

The Check engine light went on a few times, but after taking it to the dealership, they recommended I remove the P.F.E. sensor and leave it on a heater for a night to remove any water. IT WORKED!! Thanks Moynes Ford.

My biggest complaint is reserved for the headlights. That material holds dirt very easily, deterring the headlight range. I am constantly cleaning them!

General comments?

I have received mixed levels of service from Ford dealers. Moynes is one dealership I am very pleased with, for their parts and service departments.

My parents have one of these too, with 280 000 kilometers, and it has also been relatively trouble-free!

I want to ask where is located the sensor because I have the same problem. Sometimes the sensor:service motor soon light's up so what to do? this is my e mail djtoky@hotmail.com.

Thanks.

General comments?

I know what you mean about the headlights... most cars with plastic headlights eventually start getting cloudy or yellow.

Here is what I have found you can do... go on ebay and you can by a new set for about $60...or get 3m's white polishing compound... i think it's called finesse-it and a polishing wheel/buffer and polish the headlights. afterwards you can wax them from time to time to help keep them clean and free of sticky stuff.

If they are still badly pitted after you polish them go to a auto parts store and get some "high temp" clear spray paint. clean any and all wax or polish off the headlights and best you can... then clean them again! this is very important or the paint will have "fish eyes". then just spray paint them... the paint goes on cloudy, but drys crystal clear!!!

After it has dried for a few good days and gotten hard, wax them!!

Happy trails.
