Head gasket blew at 40000 miles.
Vacuum pipes at 65000.
Catalytic converter at 75000.
A Lot of second hand cars are a waste of
cash
previous owners do not look after them and you the second
or third owner are left with the bills and hassle.
Its not the cars fault.
My megane 1.4 is now just over 3 years old. In that time I have had big problems with misfires, which have been rectified by replacing ignition coils. At around £65 per coil, this is not cheap! Along with a wiper motor which needed replacing at a cost of £250, and a hi fi system which refuses to accept the (correct) code following battery disconnection, This is rapidly becoming more expensive to maintain than any of the old bangers I have had in the past. I am losing all faith in this car's reliability, although when it is running, I love driving it.
