About a month after I purchased the car the car started to smell like gas. I took to repair shop they said seals around fuel injectors had to be replaced so I paid the 100 to have them replaced only to have them tell me that it might be the fuel injectors themselves. Anyways.. having the seals replaced did make the injector leak less noticeable unless car is sitting in one spot for a extended period of time. I did normal maintenance by myself belts top off fluids and such. the muffler pipe from the catalytic converter all the way back to the muffler had a crack in it when I got it.. so I dint have to drop 500 for an exhaust system my car sounds like it has one for free. interior is not great, but I bought it for 1000 put less than 500 into it and its great.
This car is ridiculous. My cousin has a 99 dodge neon r/t (was I supposed to be scared a neon.. I figured the head gasket would go before the end of 1/4 mile haha) my car was manual so was his so we go he beats me off the line what I expected.. so in the end he did beat my integra by less than half a cars lentgh.. which is quite sad considering in miles my car has been around the world 4 more times than his and hes got 30 more hp. another reason why its ridiculous
my moms car was stolen.. it was a 93 lumina kid tried to bring it back that night so I chased him in my integra he eventually just kinda rolled out of the lumina goin about 10 only because he couldent loose me in my integra I love this car I would so keep it if it dint have so many little things to be done needs new tires interior work minor engine work new clutch soon, but I would never steer anyone away from buying one if you got money to drop into it most reliable car ever starts every day (and I live in buffalo ny it gets a bit cold in winter) i could go on all day
but I'm just gunna stop.
Your review encouraged me to put more effort into my 1987 Acura Integra LS. I realized that my Integra means a lot to me even though there are some set backs. You made a good point about the seals for your fuel injectors. I would like to ask you a couple questions about the car, contact me at BrandonBraley@yahoo.com. Thank you.
