Leaking coolant from the engine block drain plug. Repaired personally at no cost.
Faulty strut mounts, as Toyota acknowledged via a technical bulletin. Had both front mounts replaced to stop a constant rattling noise.
Have begun to hear a similar rattling noise from the rear; possibly the rear mounts. Has anyone else had to replace the rear strut mounts?
Both heated seats do not work, although the lights in the switches go on. Has anyone else had this problem?
Very comfortable and quiet car.

The avalon is indeed a great car to own. however, I do agree with some of the complaints others have voiced.
The heated seats warm very slowly and sometimes I wonder if
they're even working at all.
The strut mounts front and back seem to be a constant pain
to most owners who paid close to $30,000 new for these cars. if toyota is aware of these flaws, why are we paying
for their mistakes?
