The service engine light goes on and off intermittently with no solution to the problem.
Rear latch handle replaced under warranty.
Electronics and lights pulse on a fairly consistent basis. Not a major problem just annoying.
Rust starting under rear hatch.
Seat belts are easily twisted and do not always retract back in their holders. A real pain especially when you are putting three kids in the vehicle.
Overall a very comfortable van for long drives. Fuel economy is good. Lots of room to throw all of your stuff.
A very good van like the man said good for long road trips. My troubles start with fixing it, such as changing spark plugs what concerns me is the back 3 ones next to imposable to change. I went to a dealer in Winnipeg, manitoba, Canada and asked him to give me an estimate on how much it would cost to change the back 3 plugs and the back 3 wires and I told him i had the parts he quoted me
$477.76 for this!! so can guess what I said, my point is if you're not going to make it easy to be to change your self, make it affordable or at least a realistic price that makes a little bit of (SENSE). I'm sure there's lot's of
people out there that agree. thanks...PROFILE PAINTING..
As far as changing the plugs, I couldn't get the back plugs changed myself, so I went to a local reputable shop. They only charged me $62.00 (I supplied the plugs).
The problems with the check engine lights can be solved quite easily. The reason they come on is due to the gas cap not being tight and it takes 3 more fills for the computer to reset itself. Thus, make sure the cap is on tight each time you fill up and the light will not come on anymore.
I can relate to everyone of these problems
coolant leaks
coolant sensors
dashboard warning lights off and on
gas gauge not working
Airbag light off and on - move the passenger seat back
and forth to get it to go out so must be the wiring under
the seat.
Manifold gasket and head gasket water pump replaced.
Three months later the low coolant level light on and have
to top up coolant. Dealership told us not to drain Dex-cool
and replace it with the green stuff as it would cause a whole
bunch of other problems.
Every time we visit the dealership to repair a problem
a couple of weeks later another one crops up
We too have been GM customers for the last 35 years.
We are never buying GM again.
