"High performance bargain"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I own a 1998 Dodge Intrepid since February 2002. All the work I have done is changing my starter with rebuilt @ Pep Boys.

Since then the car runs like a Swiss watch.

Have to point-out - Intrepid-s are very sensitive to a bad Gasoline - the engine starts hesitating even powers off in idle.

General comments?

Hi, after I read all negative emails I decided to say something good about the Intrepid.

Very roomy coupe and trunk, very stable on turns, excellent pick-up, good gas mileage, very powerful, very good priced.

The best body stile for late 90-s/early 2000; The only 6 cylinder engine that has gas mileage of 4 cylinder, but power of 8 cylinder - better performance then most sports car of its class.

(Here is a good place to compare Dodge Intrepid with Ford Mustang) -

You are 100% RIGHT... I have a 1998 Intrepid and have had a few problems here and there, but what an awesome car... I had a Jaguar before and the Intrepid had far less problems. Currenly I have 281 000 Kms on my Dodge. The trick is mixing gas and regular oil changes. My problems were with the drivers and passengers window as well as the brakes, but that is because of the amount of driving I do.
