2000 Isuzu Rodeo from North America - Comments

Uses 4qts of oil every 5000 miles

dealer said that's normal for this engine.

Good handling SUV, but poor engine.

I just found out the same thing on my 02 Rodeo. 1qt. per 1000 miles is what the dealership service dept. told me. I wish they would have told me before I bought this. No wonder Isuzu is fading away.

I have a 2000 Rodeo. I just was advised to add 1 quart with every other fill up. I went through 3 quarts on a 1100 mile road trip.

Just where is this oil consumption going? Mine is doing the same thing now, after 91,000 miles. Sad situation.

I just switched to Rotella T 15/40 oil... I'll keep ya posted...

Well, It's been 1200 miles since I switched to 15w40 Rotella T and so far my 2000 Rodeo hasn't consumed any oil. :)

99 Rodeo same oil burn problem. Tried the Rotella... no difference, even after a seafoam treatment. I was really hoping this would work, but it burns just as fast as anything else.
