1996 Holden Commodore SS from Australia and New Zealand - Comments

7th Jan 2004, 20:41

"Has this car got the lowest kilometers travelled by a VS SS Commodore?"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Fan belt broke at 13000. This is OK because it was the original.

The tow bar scrapes when reversing out of steep driveways. It is more noticable with passengers.

General comments?

Comparable with the latest V6 Audi with a multitronic transmission. These cars retail for $90K aus.

Is that all you have to say, the VS SS commodore is one of the most comfortable cars I've ever been in, good fuel and power make it a great car.

OK so you had a gripe, but on lament you seen what a V8 can get you out of and the handling, I don`t understand the gripes, but, I own a 110,000km VSII with around a 9lb fan and 440hp, they are light, nimble and potent with work. Try a $50 a side, shave for a start and take just 50 thou for a start and new gaskets and tell me "How`s that working for ya".God this is stupid, I`ve got to put a new engine in my toy to put in. I melted my last Subaru turbo, too much work,98`WRX-STi rally heart transplant and re-shuffled close ratio 5 speed to go in, kickin clutch, manifold mods for the twin turbo`s and modifying manifolds for this as well as a grid line governor fitting and mating to get me sailing, windscreen washer on the inter cooler fitment so I don`t melt this baby sitting airflow blocked behind some monstrosity and too many things to mention, lot`s of it,3 days deadline. Now what`s wrong with your GMH, don`t gripe-work it and make it snipe

I`D RATHER BE BLOWN THAN STROKED.
