"Too many FORD parts spoils a nice truck"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Needed brake rotors due to pads wearing down the rotors prematurely. Had the coolant sensor replaced due to a malfunction. Tires at 40k.

General comments?

Except for the rotors, this is a nice truck to drive. It has some pep and is a good size for a small family or retired person. I am questioning the reliability due too many if not all FORD parts in this Mazda. I wish the truck had a orig. Mazda engine and tranny etc for better long term service. Because of this I will most likely trade it in on a used 4Runner or Pathfinder, which are the most reliable in my price range.

There is one problem with this review. The Mazda Tribute is not a truck. It is built on a car base, like the Saturn Vue or Toyota Highlander. I would suggest this small SUV for customers looking for more of a car than a truck. The Ford Escape is virtually the same car. Ford and Mazda worked together on making these two cars. Excellent design and very safe.
