"Boy racer killer"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

None so far.

General comments?

Well, what can I say. YAHOO!!! What a beast. It may be 16 years old, but can she fly.

The main reason I bought the car was to annoy all the little boy racers in their Novas and Fiestas. The looks I get when I pull up at the lights are comical. They laugh at me because they think it is a heap, although they soon shut up when I rev her up. When the lights turn to green she just picks up her skirt and runs. The boy racers don't know what has hit them until they eventually catch me up at the next set of lights. Hee Hhe what a honey. I shall be keeping hold of this baby.

If anyone knows the performance figures of the 320i 1988 model, could someone put them up as I am interested in just how fast the old girl is.

Quick update, 90000 on the clock and everything is fine with the car. Just had a 3 inch big bore back box fitted. The noise is absolutely fantastic. She has a bassy roar at low rpm and rises to a loud roar at medium rpm all the way to an all out howl at high rpm. In a shouting competition, this car would be a genuine winning contender. I always take her to the red line just to hear her scream her lungs out. Over steer moments now have a squeal of tyres and a HHHOOOWWWLLL!!! from the straight six. I think I am in love.

Me again, done a speed run on the M57. 135 MPH and she had little more left in her. Getting the ECU remapped in a few weeks so god knows what she do!!! She is 16 years old for christ's sake.

In answer to your performance queries regarding BMW 320i (e30) convertible 1988...

Engine power was rated at 90kW, however was revamped from 1991- 1992 to 110kW.

Dop not have exact acceleration times from 0- 100 K/ Hr nor standing quarter mile (400meters) although a calculated guess based on the 320i coupe 1988, should give an estimeat of around 10 seconds and 16 seconds (respectively). In manual form.

I also have a 1991 320I SE. I live in the countryside in Ireland and my god I love this car. I passed my driving test in a Clio 1.2 and 6 months later I had fulfilled my boyhood dream, to own a BMW 320. I am a 29 year old, so no boy racer posts. 111,000 on the clock and she is only getting warmed up.

Well people, I just bought one 325 cabrio, is RoyalBlue metalic and beige inside, the leather is like new, very well maintained the car and even the radio is the original, is lovely, from the 88'.

I bought it for 6,000 Swiss francs, but I will take it to Mexico after I finish studying in 1 year.

Arriba Cancun!

I will never sell this handsome car.
