1999 Honda Integra Type-R from UK and Ireland - Comments

"Extreme fun that will make you laugh"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Dealer fit alarm faulty at first.

After first service (9000 miles), it will not start after sitting for around 24 hours or more. Just turns over again and again. Local dealership have had a few attempts at repairing, with no improvement. Apart from poor starting reliability, it's fine.

General comments?

Not as fast as I expected, but handles great. Eats tyres, changed front after 8000 miles.

What could one expect from a 1.8 liter engine? 195hp is outstanding, considering it's a naturally aspirated engine.

Its really remarkable for a 1.8Litre naturally-aspirated engine to produce 197 ponies... I heard the new Integra (RSX) has 220 ponies (2Litres)...even more astonishing!I am currently contemplating the new (2001) WRX and the 2001 RSX... If anyone happens to have any tips or comments please email me via francispeed@hotmail.com...thanx a bunch!

I have the 2001 RSX or in Ireland the Integra Type R, it is a 2.0 with 220bhp and it is astounding, nicest car I have ever seen. Miles better than the WRX scooby, rarer and better looking.
