Fuel pump failed. Two fittings to remove, two bolts to take out and a $1.95 replacement diaphragm got it running again.
Installed a floor shift on the cluster gear eating transmission.
Never had to do a brake job. No oil or water leaks.
Really enjoyed this car. So easy to service. Nothing under the hood except what was needed to run.
Impressive that you sold the car 40 years ago, but you still remember how much it cost to repair the fuel pump... now all the fuel pumps are sealed electric units, usually mounted in the tank so a b**** to remove, and cost 100's of dollars to replace!
Thanks for your comment. I've always done my own repairs
spending my own money. Somehow, those things stick with
me.
