* Ignition-computer broke down.
* A few little problems with the electric system.
It handles really great for such a small car, fun to drive.
Very cheap to drive: It has an average fuel consumption of 20 kilometres per litre.
He is joking about the handling (I hope!), but I suppose it is better than a 2CV.
Well, I have to agree with this AX owner, in comparison with other small cars it corners very well.. only disadvantage is the huge overhang... Same for the good old 2CV I guess.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the way this car or the 2cv handles. Why is it that Vauxhall drivers just don't understand that great handling can be combined with comfort???
I also have a Citroen AX 1.0 Jive, see my review '1991 - Great First Car.' I would have to also agree, the handling is very good for a small car. There seems to be great disagreement on this site. About half the reviews seem to suggest handling is bad, the other half seem to suggest it is good. My theory (being that most of the criticism of handling comes from GT owners), is that the handling is not up to boy racer standards. Now I am rough with my car, and drive it at relative speed round corners, and it always seems to be glued to he road, now in my mind that equals good handling - correct me if I'm wrong.
I've got a AX 1.0 it isn't the best at handling, but it is definitely not the worst! Anyway how can you expect this little car to be brilliant it is basically a cheap reliable run around and for all the boy racers out there who disagree why don't you just buy a Saxo VTS!
Where do I start, AX says it all, my 3 of my friends have had these cars an I don't think they should have left France, the only reason you say they handle well and go fast is cause they are made of plastic?! anyone who buys one of these 'things' should replace the head gasket and all water pipes before using it they seem prowned to electrical problems to like not ticking over and not starting. don't buy one!!! (British is best!!!)
