This truck is absolutely reliable.
I owned a 1983 2 wheel drive Nissan that my dad gave me. He purchased it new in 1983. By the time my sister totaled it in 1995, it had 340,000 miles and only one new transmission and clutch, with the original engine.
My current pickup is identical except I now have a 4x4. Nothing went wrong until recently. The body and interior are in mint condition, but the mechanics are starting to show their age.
I have no intentions of selling this truck any time soon. I recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a first time truck for their kids that is inexpensive, reliable, safe, and won't get them any into any trouble.
I have a 1984 nissan 720... one wonderful truck... I purchased it 2 years ago for $700.00,,, recently I had an allignment after I put new tires, The only problem I had was a cut out that turned out to be the alternator... i run an avearge of 21 miles per gallon on the highway and 18 in town... I will drive it for years yet..
