Since I bought this car in April 2003, I've had to take it in for repairs four times for the same problem. All the gages stop working and the car loses power. The dealer couldn't figure out what was wrong with it! They finally told me the wiring harness needed to be replaced and would cost me $1,000!!! I will try to get rid of this car as soon as possible! I will never buy another KIA.
I had a 2000 Kia Sportage 4x4, and it was nothing, but junk. I just
recently got divorced and gave him the Kia. The first week I had it the windows stopped working. A tired shredded right off the rim. My worst complaint is the 4x4. It DOES NOT WORK!! Every year it snowed, we couldn't even get up our driveway! It is a total waste of time to have 4x4 power and not be able to drive in the snow.
4 x 4 transmission can be easily fixed by going to a junk yard and picking up a transmission control modulator for (i paid $100.00) and plug it in yourself and you will have a working 4 x4 again.
