I have never had a car lacking in quality like my 2001 Cabrio. I have had poor quality cars before, but I paid for poor quality in my Tracker and my Sundance. But I drove those cars a lot longer than my VW and never had nearly as many problems that I am having now. I bought my car in Sept. of 2001 and it has been in the shop at least 20 times since I bought it. Volkswagen of America has helped me out a little bit with fixing the issues of this car, but since it is constantly back in the shop I have asked for either a replacement or I want to return it. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this car. It's too bad because it's so gosh darn cute.
I heard of a Plymouth Sundance, but I'm not familiar with a Chrysler Tracker. Geo marketed a Tracker which was really a Suzuki. Is this what you owned?
By the way, I hope you are now having better luck with your Cabrio. I'm sorry it has been so troublesome for you.
