The Vitara is an uncomfortable car to drive for long distances, however if it's used just as a beach 4x4 and for off road fun, it's great.
Never gotten stuck no matter how sloshy the mud was. I've seen new BMW X5's stuck on the beach where the Vitara flew past without any worries.
A bit slow on the road and the larger tyres I have on it make for slippery driving in wet weather.
Despite all the problems I've had with it, it still remains a fun car to drive around with the top down and the Sub Woofer thumping.
Your review didnt really pay the car the full respect. the only reason is you probably flog the poor thing no wonder why its rooted if you looked after it then there wouldn't be anything wrong with it and if you don't expect it to rust after uve had it on the beach then ur kidding urself.
