2003 Lamborghini Murcielago Four Wheel Drive from North America - Comments

"The best 4WD exotic performance sports car ever, Canadian winters are a breeze!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

That's the best part, absolutely nothing has gone wrong with this car and I drive it every day. It has no problem starting in the cold Canadian winters, I don't even plug it in (not that I could if I wanted to, Block Heaters were not even an option).

General comments?

The car all in all is a great buy, if you can afford it. I bought it through a performance/exotic car dealer in town who ordered it directly from Lamborghini for me. I got it for just over $400,000.00 as I loaded it up with impressive options.

I recently owned a Ferrari F-50 which was an amazing vehicle, but was very dangerous for my wife in the winter as the 2WD had too much power in the rear and she would often complain about spinning out. So I researched for exotic performance cars which had 4WD and I came across the Murcielago. It has proven well in the Canadian Winters. The Lamborghini 4WD system is completely out of this world and even though it is a very low car, it has never gotten stuck. My neighbor's 4WD 2004 Range Rover even got stuck in the street one morning and I got out with total ease (after helping him, of course).

The engine and transmission are smooth and flawless. The clutch is light and comfortable and very high in quality. The 6.2L engine which produces 580hp gets me to work in a blink of an eye. The six speed manual transmission with the much anticipated overdrive is very energetic and lively. My wife is particularly happy that she does not ever have to shift out of first gear in the town or city and only has to travel in second gear on the highway.

We also have a 2001 Bentley Arnage T. It is great too, but is tricky to drive in the winter and has been 'keyed' 7 times in numerous parking lots (each time repaired) so we choose to leave it at home when shopping now. For some reason, the Lamborghini has never been keyed. The Lamborghini is for sure the better of the two, especially with its amazing sound system and options.

Good to see an owner of one of these cars appreciate it and take the time to testify to it. Maybe the above commenter from 29 December should realize that this car is one of very few that gets to 60mph in first gear- and maybe that's why his wife is happy to stay in first. If you were God, you would have known this. Say MURCY biatch.

Hmmmmmmmmm. I know all about Canadian winters. I lived through some bad ones on the east coast. 1: Why would you drive an super expensive exotic sports coupe in the winter? That goes for the F50 too. 2: My girlfriend drives a Range Rover. Last gen. but still, impressive off road and in bad weather. How much snow was there to get a Rover stuck? Had to be up to the grill, which means the snow would likely be up to the windshield of the Lamb. You might own the Lambo, but it being able to get it moving when a Rover could not? Not likely.

99% of the people who own cars such as the Lamborghini or Ferrari use them only in good weather and then only for a few thousand kilometers each year.

If you do normal mileages on such cars, they are almost impossible to sell, except at a hugely reduced price.

I considered buying a new Ferrari a few years ago, but noticed that the cars on the second-hand market all had ridiculously low mileages and I wanted a car I could use every day. So I bought a Porsche.

Yea, a porsche being the probable sports car for aagresive drivers like me. G-d knows my turbo-s being only 3 months old is only now opening to me and letting me abuse her. Her 4-wheel drive is impecacable and the chasis has been tuned to the utmost impresive porsche I have yet bought. however after readin this article I'm already lookin forward to my next car. Lamborghini M.

I'm 21yrs. old

(My Garage:continental GT, vanquish s, lamborghini lmoo2 (my 4 wheeler) Turbo-s,959 (rare) )

There's an F1 for sale on www.carclassic.com for 1,350,000 Euros. Used, of course. I couldn't afford a new one when they were being manufactured.

And on www.mobile.de there's a brand new Bugatti Veyron for sale at 1,450,000 Euros. Quite powerful, 1001 HP.

The McLaren is a bit dated now but I can't make up my mind about the Veyron's styling, looks a bit odd at the front.

Will probably go for the Bugatti because I don't like buying other people's cast-offs.

I'll keep the S-Class Merc 600 for everyday use.

You are twenty one years old and your garage has the car I want, the lmoo2. I'm also twenty one years old. But I would not be able to buy around seven hundred thousand dollars worth of cars at this age, simple put "what is your occupation at twenty one that provides such good monetary benefits." Secondly, this statement is represented for understanding and not envy, just curious I suppose. Have a blast with the lamborghini, by far, your most unique, oppulent, and rare ride. one of three hundred and twenty eight produces, is it an american version or saudi.

The child with the imaginary garage refers to the LM002 as a "4-wheeler".

I think all the others have 4 wheels also!

"Nice car collection dude! I wish I had that much money to spend."

My car collection comprises:

1965 Hillman Minx

1982 Skoda Estelle

1978 Citroen CX

1962 Morris Minor

So it's not so very different from yours.
