"The ultimate cruiser"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Body was in bad condition.

Engines a little worn (considering mileage)

Worn seats.

Front suspension needed ball joints, bushes.

General comments?

It is cheap to run, seeing as how its on LPG.

I upped the performance ante with a better exhaust, because the stock one is way to restrictive.

The ride's like a limo, plenty of space inside, and interiors easy to modify.

I installed a CD player, hi-quality front and rear speakers, and now a 12" sub resides in the boot.

The front suspension has been lowered with Pedder's springs. Although the ride is a bit harsher, the handling improved dramatically, and it looks mean.

The 4.1 E.F.I motor will be reconditioned with hi comp pistons a 'nice' cam, head work and improved breathing. it should be good for 180-190 kw, so I'm ready to kick some holden butt.

I like what you've done with the car, but it's a shame that it was it poor condition. I own a 1984 FD LTD with the same fuel injection system and motor and gearbox. The cam and the exhaust system sounds yummy and sure will kick some Holden butt.

I've been bitten by the modifying bug and it bites hard! fortunately I had some extractors on hand when it came to putting everything back together on the new head (I wrote the review also on this site "excellent car, good for long distance driving").

I'm planning on dismantling the fuel injection system and fit it with bigger injectors and get a "Crow Cam" and lowering it and would like to hear what people think about this idea.

Has your LTD got electric seats and a sunroof? as mine has both of these and I was wondering if this option was deleted in the later model.

Good on ya' for turning something usually stereotyped as a car that's "not meant to really move" into something that may come as a surprise some people with "hotted up" cars at the lights and on the streets.
