Hmmmm...
I bought this car for 1400$ CND. It was on its last legs.
Things that were broken when I bought it:
____________________________________
It had a blown head gastket.
The tires were bald.
The body was dented, but not badly rusted, but the rocker panel under the driver door had rusted out pretty bad.
The transmission would vibrate in reverse.
The radio was in pretty bad shape. The rear speakers were blown. The radio works, but the tape deck just makes a buzz noise and doesn't eject the tape or play any music off the tape.
I own a 66 impala and it has less wear than this eco box has after only 10 years, I would not want to see this car in 40 years.
Great Gas economy, for a student this is a great car.
Generally low maintenance.
I always test drive a car before purchase... If I'm told that I can't, I take a walk.
Surely you test drove the car before paying them far more than the junk yard would have.
These cars do very well, provided people change the oil, and don't abuse the clutch (personal driving styles make themselves manifest on these cars very quickly, if they are abusive, including on the clutch and transmission.
