"A step ladder would be more reliable than this waste of time and money"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

It would be easier telling you what hasn't went wrong with this so called truck. Let's see, Engine, Transmission, rear end, electric windows, brakes, alignment, head lights, my fingers are getting tired.

General comments?

Never, ever, ever, buy one of these pieces of absolute junk.

I have a 2000 Silverado, 260k and still runs great, transmission needs to be gone through in the next 20k, but we just bought the 3rd set of new tires for it, the last set we got 135k on them, The engine has knocked since it had 40k on it and it got to the point where it knocks all the time, but it don't seem to be hurting it any. It uses about a quart of oil every 5000 miles. Only thing we have EVER done to this, and I bought it new, brakes, rearend, and one wheel bearing. It has seen a lot of hard work pulling heavy loads. And it still makes 19mpg constant. I don't know why people complain about them so much, look at the ford 4.6L v8, what a worthless engine, they set the compression ratio to low so if you let it stay in 1st gear on a hill with out the brakes it will start to work it's way down. And not to mention the low end toqure of the Ford Engines, they have to be reved high to get them to move even. So I would not even consider changing from a Chevy.

I also have these.

84 s10 blazer 353k original 2.8 engine, but it recently spun a rod bearing.

94 suburban 227k 5.7 runs great

96 k1500 pickup 5.7 248k runs awesome

89 Jeep wagoneer 4.0 engine runs good

and my favorite right now is my 1949 Chevrolet Pickup that I'm restoring. All my trucks are high mileage, but they all run great and the Lord blessed me with them all!!
