Nothing.
Hard to believe that everything works after 100,000 miles. Even the electric mirrors! Great MPV for very little outlay.
Fun to Drive???
An Nissan Serena???
You got to be joking!!!
I Test-Drove one of these things last week. It was a 1994 SLX 2.0 Manual.
Boy...Oh Boy... WHAT AN AWFUL CAR!!!
It was a CRAP to Drive.
At windy conditions, the car could easily lost the control.
I had to turn the steering wheel (which is very "overlight") many times, to the left and to the right side, just to keep that crappy MPV on the road.
The Body lean was Huge at the point to be dangerous and the understeer was atrocious!
A Very Bad Car to Drive. Only a 80 Year Old Lady would find it as "fun to drive"...
Clearly there are many people with many requirements. Sure the Serena is a bit of an unsightly monster. But then who needs the latest supercharged stallion? The Serena performs its task well, does not invoke speed violations easily and is not on the list of "Most nick-able" cars. For me I have grown to like it because it is very functional.
I have owned a 'M'reg since August 2005 and from then until now (May 2006) I have done 15000+ in mine with no real trouble what so ever. Just in the process of having the front shock changed due to one leaking, but on a 11 year old car I can't complain, even though they are expensive to have done due to the positioning of the heater matrix for the cab heater. I like the high driving position and the handling feels quite good, but I, but a lot of this down to the engine being under the front seats. Only downside to this motor is that Haynes does not make a manual for this vehicle as they say that not enough of these vehicles were sold in the UK which I find strange as I seem to see at least one or two whenever I go out.

I have owned a 2.0 SLX for the last five years. It's now got 101,000 miles on the clock, and still runs sweet as a nut. It has cost £120.00 in repairs in five years; not a bad outlay for a car that's so called crap...
