2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor Limited AWD from North America - Comments

So far nothing, well it is a new car.

Let's start by the exterior. The Endeavor is a really nice looking car with parts that go well together in a nice harmony. It also has strong looks, which I really enjoy. The limited model, that I have, looks exactly the same as the other models, however there is more chroming done, also the side mirrors match the color of the vehicle.

Now the interior, I must say that the interior of the XLS and Limited models are done nicely. Even though they look similar to the LS models, they are not done with the same fabrics and materials. The LS models have a cheap looking dashboard that uses a weird looking plastic, it looks cheap. Though the higher models have an incredibly nice interior, a beautiful sound system and an extremely high tech futuristic looks. So go after the XLS or Limited models.

Now the engine, generally Mitsubishi engines do not provide as much horse power as the other SUVs, however they were always the leaders in the torque category, which by the way is what really matters. The standard engine, which is on all of the models, provides 215 hp at 5000 rpm and 250 lb-ft torque on 3750 rpm, which is considerably higher than the leading Toyotas or Hondas. And even though it is a considerably large engine, it has a good gas mileage.

The transmission is something called a Sportronic. It has features from both manual and automatic, but not like semi automatic. Beside the park, neutral, drive and reverse, it has another side with + & - written on it. When you go to plus you have shifted up and minus is shifted down. This provides excellent acceleration and joy.

Now the price, generally the Mitsubishis have lower prices due to their inability to compete with Honda and Toyota, even though they are equally as good if not better. The price for the Endeavor starts from 36 000 CDN up to 42 000 CDN (without the taxes and the new car mumbo jumbo) Compare it with the 46 500 CDN for Toyota Highlander full pack, 48 000 CDN for Toyota 4Runner and 48 000 for Honda Pilot (They are all in the same class) I think going with the Endeavor Limited is a very smart choice.

The endeavor is indeed the Smoothest riding SUV I've ever driven/ ridden in.

I agree. My friend had one of these as a fleet model. He had it completely decked out with Sunroof and Leather and I must say it was beautiful. I used to hate Mitsubishi a few years ago, but after being in this one I can say that they have moved forward and have amazing interiors compared to the old plastic treatment that existed (especially) in the older lancers. Wow, this honestly should sell like hotcakes, well done Mitsubishi America for this excellent 4WD.

Such a pity the company I work for only buys Acuras though (which I am sick of).
