Heating matrix expired at 36719 miles.

Water pump expired at 45060 miles.

Heating matrix expired again at 64000 miles.

Renault paid for the repairs for the first two problems, and admitted there was a generic problem. However this time, the third, no interest from Renault customer relations.

Hi I also seem to be having problems with my heating matrix can you tell me how yours started to go wrong as mine is leaking and it spells of curry when I turn it on hot thanks I'm hoping that its just a filter or something simple.

Hi my heater also quit turns out filter was blocked which stopped air circulating through system hope this is what your problem is

I have just aquired a 1998 V6 RXE espace with 108k miles.

The first day I discovered the windcreen would not de-mist on the passenger side. I took it to my local garage for a service, to discover that the radiator needed replacing and the heater matrix on the passenger side was leaking.

This required the whole of the dashboard to be removed in order to remove the heater unit. A nightmare job which has taken over 10 hours!. The new matrix has been modified so that the heater unit can remain inplace next time it needs renewing. Very poor design! Very expensive mistake. Having now spent £1200 more than I expected I hope I don't get any other irritating problems. On the plus side, it is a delightful car to drive and very versatile.
