Well was a good car for first cuple years, but put less than 6000 miles on it when it became a daily driver it started pulling shaking really bad all front end was fixes tie rods ball joints cv joints ex car overheated too many times for me to remember anymore spark plug wires kept burning up finally bought bosh wires if you own this car and have same problem buy bosh work 100% fixed that engine runs good now until it decides it wants to overheat the problem I think is that they make the cooling system to be air tight all air needs to be bleed from lines, but the cooling system sucks it leaks as too many problems, but you have to say it still runs like new lets talk transmission problems the transmission want out at 70000 miles that's still new it got me home, but the case was destroyed 2750 tanny job it had problems again took it back Don't BUY A DODGE UNTIL THAY DECIDE TO FIX THERE JUNK.
I'm curious about the shaking of the car in your comment. My 97 Intrepid front end shakes horribly. My mechanic has replaced tie rods, cv joints, front wheel berrings and the transmission mount (which was broken). None of this has stopped the shaking. It only shakes when my foot is pushing the gas. Does not shake when idling or coasting. I'm not talking about a vibration...I'm talking about shaking! If you didn't know better you would think one of your tires was flat or something. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm at a loss of what to do. My tires are wearing horribly and I'm afraid this shaking is going to destroy parts of the car. It feels like to whole motor could fall out at any time! If you have any answers please e-mail me at nhwarren@cobbcounty.org Thanks!
