"210BHP rapid 200SX for a student"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

When owned, car boost was dropping off and causing misfiring, Nissan could not find out problem until I rang head office in London and stirred things up, new intercooler £120 thank you.

Turbo just blown, hybrid time, with Norris actuator 15psi, K&N induction, NGKs, ECU chipped, awaiting beast from garage. 210 BHP and still at university, yeh! Thank you student loan.

General comments?

Good accelaration at 177bhp (mine), change oil every 4500m with mobil 1, change oil pipe to turbo, run down, raced Impreza Turbos and new GT4s - they're crap, twin turbo Supras - just leave em alone to do their thing. Had 205 Dimma before, utter crap, 200SX is a good car as standard but a bit tame, get mine back modified soon, 210 bhp rapid.

Don't go by plate, go by condition and the way the car drives, should be effortless.

A student driving a nissan 200SX? That would be a funny sight. How the hell can you afford it?

I've got a 200SX, I'm 19, insurance is £1275 and the car cost me £3500 but it's worth it, even if it means working full time.

1275 pounds? Who are you insured with? I'm 20 with 2 years no claims and it costs me £1380 a year for 1991 J reg 200SX.

1275 pounds or 1380 pounds? Wow!! Hmm... that's around $3000 Singapore Dollars!! I got my insurance at $2400. Slightly less than 1000 pounds? But guess how much I bought my 1992 200SX for? Bought it last year September at S$34,000! Cars are pretty expensive down here.

Anything to share about car maintainance and modifications?? Email me at Joseph_Tan@spf.gov.sg!!

I am a student with a 200SX, it cost me £3000, already had a new turbo, exhaust manifold and air-con when I got it, I got over £3000 worth of bills with it!!

I have never had a problem with it, I am 24 and am paying £600 TPFT insurance.

They are very cheap cars for the performance, 205, Nova, RS Turbo, XR2i - they're all crap compared to a 200SX for value, performance and comfort.

It's costing me 3,000 insurance for FC on a '93 200SX. I'm 23 with 2 years NCB, but living in Ireland.

I am a 19 year old who just finished uni so to celebrate I got my hands on a NZ new 2hundy for NZ$8200. Only problem so far was the starter motor brushes, but it's done 110km's and it's a turbo so will I have problems with the turbo, should I let someone loose on my turbo before she blows? Any comments appreciated.

I love beating Preludes in my spare time!

I am 30 with full NCD, but when you get to full NCD it just gets dearer. This year with 65% - £592. Last year 50% NCD - £505, now how do insurance companies work? Great car though.
