Where do I start -
gear box failed @ 93000
radiator burst @ 90000
rear door window, heated rear and wiper failed
both front windows failed
sunroof mechanism failed
prop shaft bearings failed
had to be towed twice recently
uneven rear tyre wear
steering rack leaked
oil leak from engine.
Would not recommend this car on my experience... pile of junk is a phrase that springs to mind. Would never buy a LR again let alone a Freelander. Interior was obviously fashioned in the 70's when plastic was vogue.
I agree that the early build quality on the freelander was poor. Many of the problems have now been ironed out and the updated looks are a major improvement from the 2003/4 model onwards. Don't knock LR, their new cars are a major improvement on what they use to be.
