2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS from North America - Comments

"A great SUV all around!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing major.

At about 6000 kms, part of the right side rear door seal came loose. The dealership will fix it the next time I can leave it there to be siliconed.

At 10,000 kms the rear wiper came loose.

The dealership fixed this right away.

The mileage isn't great, but it is a 4x4.

I did notice that the rubber around the rear license plate holder is a little off, but its very minor and most people wouldn't notice.

General comments?

My wife and I just love our Trailblazer, its our second new vehicle. The other was a 1998 Chev extended cab pick-up.

We drove that truck for 3 years (60,000 kms) with nothing, but a tiny rip in the seat to fix. It was the reason we went back to Chev when it was time to lease another new vehicle.

We think that our Trailblazer handles very good and has some decent power.

The only complaint I have is, its not really comfortable to drive long distances (3 hours or so).

We like the dash layout, everything is within good reach.

I hope that we have better luck with our motor than some of the comments I read.

We just traded our 2003 due to some safety issues that occurred with the suspension. I disagree on two of your complaints. I see a lot of people claiming bad mileage with the TB, but we are getting mid 20's on ours with mostly highway driving with close to 20 around town. We put a lot less gas in it than our last SUV which was only a 215 HP V-6. Also, the ride is among the best I have ever driven. I can cruise all day long in it with no fatigue.
