Headlights go out about once every other month.
Good car for looks, but bad for speed. I love my car to death, but it's a gutless wonder. I know you're all thinking... just buy some after market parts and you'll be alright... well I thought that too until I bought it and started shopping. Anything you want to do to this car is going to have to be extreme. By that I mean take out your whole damn engine and reset the computer.
What do you expect with a V6 automatic?
Man, you can drag some power out of a v6 if your willing to do the work. Best things to do are find some forged pistons, balance and blueprint the motor, get a Hi-Pro chip, port and polish the heads and intake, bigger injectors or carb, and a high performance ignition, and you can smoke some small V8s. Its hard to find these parts for a V6 though.
You couldn't be more wrong! LOL you can go forced induction turbo or supercharger and/ or nitrous. You can get headers, intake, hi-performance chip, bigger fuel injectors, shift kit because you have a automatic, high-performance valves, push-rods, valve springs, 3.75 axle, bigger throttle body, bigger m.a.f., bigger aluminum heads. The list goes on lol. (Gutless wonder? Only in your mind!) Welcome to the world of car tuning stick with it and you can have that 3.4 or 3.8L running like it's a LS1.
I have a 1995 3.4 liter Camaro and I would like to know what I can do to up the performance on my car.
I've noticed that the Camaro and Firebird really needs a V8. It's a heavy car, and the V6 models were really slow. Remember the "Iron Duke" engined ones that first hit the road in the early '80s? They were even worse! Slow as molasses. Drop a nice 350 in there with 3:73 gears and a 700-R4, and you'll have a rip-snorting beast. Have fun!
