Currently the lights have a mind of their own. When I press my brake, all of the interior and parking lights come on. Also, when I have my headlights on, all of my brake lights stay on whether I am pressing the brake or not. At least I'm not going to get pulled over for a brake light being out eh?
Also one of the rear windows makes a horrible screeching sound when rolling it up or down. My brother has a 1997 Corolla and his does the same.
Other than routine maintenance such as new timing belt and brakes, nothing has gone wrong.
The corolla is a friggin' tank. Nothing can stop it. It has been in at least two wrecks that we know of and it still runs like a champ. It was rear ended twice. The first time we fixed it and the second I didn't bother because it wouldn't make that big of a difference in the resale value. So I just took the money and went to Vegas.
As for performance, I drive like a 78 year old woman so I don't really care about that. But sometimes I do wish I had my '89 Celica back.
Your brake lights stay on all the time?
NO wonder you got rearended twice.
Hard to understand how this car could be a "chick magnet" by any known definition of the term.
My Corolla the temp light would come on when the alt light came on, but I have seen older Toyota trucks the the oil light would come on when you opened the door. As for being a chick magnet, maybe the people rear ending him were chicks.
