1993 Chrysler Vision TSi from North America - Comments

23rd Jun 2004, 13:14

"A reliable, economical sports sedan, engineered and built in North America"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Automatic heater/AC control blinked out and cost $300 to fix.

Transmission had to be rebuilt at 250,000 km - $1,000.

Timing belt and Water pump blew at 295,000 km ($460 including tow) and left me stranded for the first time in 11 years.

General comments?

The car is quick, and also economical for gas and repairs.

Comfortable and spacious interior for adults and children.

Large doors and roomy interior made it easy to accommodate two children from babyhood to baseball games.

Virtually no rust after 11 years of Manitoba highways.

TSI model has stiffer suspension, affords better high speed maneuvering and sure handling.

I am seeking for an information or advise on what could be wrong with my Chrysler vision. The engine suddenly stopped idling while in motion. Ever since then when the engine is tuned on it starts for a while and stops. I have to wait for close to an hour before the engine can be started again. when started it goes off again. The off and on of the engine is a continuous one. Automobil mechanices advised that the brain box be changed. This was done, but the problem still persisted. I am in Nigeria. Please could advise me on what could be wrong and the remedy. My Email address is chinedu.a.nwachukwu@shell.com
