1999 Hyundai Accent from North America - Comments

Headlight, taillights and tag lights have been replaced over a dozen times all together.

Now, my dashboard lights come and go as they please. I have had this checked out many times and everyone tells me that they can't see a problem.

The brakes click when coming to a complete stop.

There is a slight whistling noise when I accelerate.

While there have been no major problems (yet) the electrical problems are a nuisance.

The car is easily dented and the paint scratches very easily.

I am impressed with the way the car handles in bad weather, even though I have to add weight to the trunk in the winter time.

Had the same problem with our 1999 Accent. Burns out taillights like crazy. Now the brake lights stay on when headlights are on and when pressing brakes the front parking lights come on. When headlights off the brake lights work fine, and parking lights do not come on. When pressing on brakes in either mode the dash lights come on. Yours sounds a lot like ours, seems to be a major headache, want to sell this (daughters done with it now) but wonder if it is fixable (and worth fixing).
